Very loyal to Hagrid, because Hagrid protected Aragog when he was accused of killing a girl. Basilisk - A fearsome and deadly monster also known as King of the Serpents. Possesses a murderous stare which kills from a beam of light from its eyes; speaks Parselmouth; lives in the Chamber of Secrets and uses the plumbing to get around. (vol. 2, p. 290) Blast-Ended Skrewts - They smell like rotten fish and look like deformed shell-less lobsters, pale and slimy looking with no heads. The legs, about six inches long, stick out in odd places. They are propelled by sparks that come out of an end, which causes the skrewts to blast off. The females suck blood; the males sting. (vol. 4, pp. 196-197) Boggart - A shape-shifter; is able to take the shape of whatever we most fear. It is repelled by laughter. Doxy - Flying household pests that bite with sharp poisonous-teeth; a fairy-like body covered in black hair and shiny beetle-like wings; they inhabit Order of the Phoenix Headquarters. (vol. 4, p. 495) Griphook - Goblin at Gringotts Bank. Hebridean Black - A breed of wild dragon found in Britain. Hedwig - Harry's owl; a gift from Hagrid. Hermes - Name of Percy Weasley's owl. (vol. 5, p. 96) Hinkypunk - Small one-legged creature who looks like he's made from wisps of smoke; lives in bogs and swamps; wanders about at night with lantern to lure lost travelers into the swamps.
